Great sound but very sensitive to pops
Telefax 25.02.2020
I have used this for vocals only, live and in the studio when close to a noise source.
Very balanced proximity effect and off-axis response. Styling, weight and handling is very good.
It actually suits my voice well, light male tenor, and adds a bit of weight as a dynamic mic usually does. I much prefer the sound to the SM58 but if you want to avoid pops and blasts then good technique and some kind of pop filter is required.
Overall, I'm very happy with the product for the money just that you should expect to add a bit of 'air' eq and deal with the popping, with that taken into account, it's a very useful mic.

a
good budget microphone
asneyd 15.09.2013
was very pleased with this microphone got some good recordings done on it well worth the price and thomanns is a great site for reliability. this microphone is very clear sounding and versatile I really enjoyed using this when it was delivered and was shocked by the quality for what I paid this microphone served me very well and was simple to work with. recorded great onto my computer even just using software like audacity. I definatly would recommend this mic for someone who wants good quality recordings but is on a tight budget, a real mic for a budding musician. what more can I say its a great mic for a great price

RO
Great alternative for some
Rune O. 12.09.2013
compared to the industry standard (SM58), which colours the sound somewhat, the Superlux D108A is more neutral, with more bottom and a little less amphasis in the high midrange. A dynamic microphone which has become my favourite. I have even tried to record a guitar amplifier with it, and it worked very well. Recommended if you don't think the standard microphones are neutral enough.

Pretty good for the money
chuckchunder 29.12.2020
Only small gripe is that you have to have the mic close to your mouth, so difficult for two people to use when harmonizing. I guess a small price to pay for such a cheap mike.
