Porcelain slides offer a very warm resonant tonal quality good for both acoustic and electric guitars. It is best used with medium/light to medium gauge string with the action set high. It also comes with a piece of paper with common open tunings for slide-guitar.

Spiele seit ca. 5 Jahren Slide und habe in dieser Zeit so ziemlich alles ausprobiert, was es in dieser Richtung gibt, mal abgesehen von ganz exotischen und überteuerten Sachen. Irgendwann vor ca. 2-3 Jahren bin ich auf Porzellan-Slides gestoßen und seitdem hellauf begeistert - für mich haben diese einfach das richtige Gewicht und einen angenehm dunklen Ton.

Und obwohl ich mit normalerweise keine "Endorser"-Sachen zulege (wer trägt schon gerne den Namen eines Anderen spazieren?) ist dies das Slide meiner Wahl, vor allem wegen der Abmessungen: Die meisten Slides wabbeln mir einfach auf dem Finger herum, weil sie für meine Verhältnisse etwas überdimensioniert sind - obwohl ich nicht gerade Kinderhände habe. Das hier paßt, liegt gut in der Hand (bzw. auf'm Finger) und macht einen schön runden, ausgewogenen Ton.

Zudem bringt es einiges an Gewicht mit sich im Vergleich zu billigeren Slides, und eben etwas Gewicht braucht man, um einigermaßen sauber arbeiten zu können. Ich gönne mir alle paar Monate ein neues, weil ich Angst habe, die Produktion könnte irgendwann eingestellt werden (schmunzel).
