I bought these some time ago but have only put them on lately. I was used to standard D'addario strings for years and tried a few others like Martin, Elixir, and John Pearse. i took a chance with these just for curiosity and I have been very pleased. I am going to stick with them from now on. I recommend that you try them at least.

Bei der Mandoline meiner Mutter stand ein kompletter Saitenwechsel an, nachdem sie das Instrument einige Jahre nicht gespielt hatte. Da sie sowieso nur aus Spaß an der Freude hin und wieder mal ein wenig spielen möchte und keine besonderen Ansprüche oder gar eine bevorzugte Saitenmarke hat, entschied ich mich für den recht günstigen Saitensatz von Optima.
Das Aufziehen gestaltete sich erwartungsgemäß problemlos und unspektakulär, die Mandoline intoniert sauber und ist stimmstabil. Da ich nicht Hauptnutzer des Instruments bin und auf der Mandoline fast keine Erfahrung habe, kann ich in Bezug auf die Qualität keine sonderlich qualifizierte Aussage treffen. Ich habe mal ein paar Melodieläufe und einige Akkorde gespielt sowie ein wenig tremoliert. Die Bespielbarkeit erschien mir soweit angenehm (allerdings denke ich, dass das auch viel maßgeblicher von der Fertigungsqualität des Instruments, als von den Saiten abhängt).
Mein Eindruck ist also durchweg positiv und auch meine Mutter spielt nun wieder regelmäßiger und freut sich, dass die alten, stumpfen "Drähte" nun glänzenden, brilliant klingenden Saiten gewichen sind. Vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis würde ich also "Top!" sagen.
