Lightweight in Kg, Heavyweight in Sound Quality

I've never paid attention to the negative press Behringer used to receive and simply made my own mind up. I have 2 X X32, lots of P16 mixers so when I needed some amps for a new system I spotted these. Initially the draw was the weight, but then I noticed the digital version, and for the small increase in cost went with a couple of these - blind. My intention was to do the crossover in the X32, but once I had them in the rack, I tried the laptop programming of the crossover functions and decided that this would make the rack more versatile for multiple uses, so I just feed these amps with a L+R and leave them to do the crossover functions. Works perfectly. I'm never careful with equipment - my use of every product is heavy handed and I often break 'rules' and these appear quite happy to accept accidental no load, or simple power up by just turning on. They just work. No excessive temperatures, no annoying features. The fans are quite loud, if that's an issue, and I wish they had the choice of XLR and jack, as in some of the Thomann own brands - as you can use these for loopthroughs. On these amps I had to make up cables to do this, but it's a small point. The absolutely best feature of course is the weight - as in they weigh so little. I have a Thomann 2400 amp in the same rack. It weighs more than the two Behringers combined, plus some! The LCD screens on the front are quite narrow angle, so reading them from above or the sides can be tricky - you need to be face on to really see the detail - if like me you wear varifocal glasses, it's difficult to read without squatting down, but that's a minor point. I'll certainly buy more of these.

T
Perfect for bass transducers on my simulator rig.
Twinny 31.03.2020
Using this to drive 2x Buttkicker LFE's on my simulator. I returned a recently purchased NU1000D that I purchased from another online retailer as this was just released within the return window for not much more money.

The amp has plenty of overhead if you're not driving the LFE's at their max and this DSP version has loads of features to make sure you can get the best sound out of your setup without fear of not having enough power or damaging your equipment. Specifically bought the DSP version as the built in filters and crossovers mean I can have the granularity I need to control the audio being pushed to the transducers, which is essential when they are being used to replicate specific effects in racing or flying simulators.

Only two downsides which are more of an unfortunate design choice then an actua downside, doesn't really detract from the value:

1. Some of the DSP features are only useable through the USB interface meaning you have to have a computer connected to it for really fine tuning. You can save the patches and recall them without the PC after you have made them. Onboard menu is perfectly funtional but better off using the software when setting it up.

2. The fans are LOUD. No change here from the previous model. This is the only reason I knocked a star off quality because this thing looks and sounds great otherwise.

Will be picking up a few more of these as I acquire more transducers.

J
fake power
Jurcek 15.05.2020
RMS power measured is only a half of declared - 440W on 4 ohm.
I think that this exagerrating with declerated output power is present in all Behringer's digital amps.
Very noisy ventilators.
Software ( DSP ) is ok - the same one is used in Lab Grupen PDX3000.
Worth the money - but nothing more !

I am very pleased
elmovani 03.06.2020
I use it for two DIY subwoofers Dayton UM15-22 in 5.2.2 Home Theatre setup. It works great, and the DSP gives me great flexibility to set up subwoofers sound. The only downside for me is the noisy fan, which I replaced with Noctua fan. Great product for my needs.
