Very light. Maple!
And they "lives" as long as hickory sticks.
Perfect balance, almost as good as VF.
They are little thicker then VF 5A (almost the same, the difference is very small), but not so thick as 5B, obviously.
I also very like form of the tip. More rounded (compare to VF), but not a circle at the same time.

Der Vater 5A Sugar Maple ist ein super Stick, um bspw. im Rockbereich zu spielen. Für Härteres in Richtung Metal o. ä. kann man ihn einsetzen, muss man aber nicht - ich empfehle dafür v. a. etwas dickere Köpfe -, für filigrane "Beckenzaubereien" ist er nicht das Optimum, da er auf den Becken im Endeffekt einen zu massigen Sound produziert.

Dazwischen ist er aber genau richtig und überzeugt insbesondere durch saubere Verarbeitung, Langlebigkeit und - in Kombination mit der Langlebigkeit besonders nett - einem den Geldbeutel schonenden Preis.

Die Vater Sugar Maple Stöcke habe ich vor einigen Jahren für mich entdeckt. Die 5A sind von den Maßen her wie man es erwartet, auch der Tip ist nicht anders als bei anderen 5A Stöcken. Was grundsätzlich anders ist, ist das Gewicht.

Diese Stöcke sind aufgrund ihres Holzes richtig leicht. Die Haltbarkeit ist meines Erachtens auch überragend, ich bin aber auch kein Heavy Spieler. Mir ist schon sehr lange kein Stock mehr gebrochen, was für Holzauswahl und Verarbeitung spricht.
