Great quality

I play an electric guitar, and have collected quite a dew pedals over the years. This however is my first octaver. With the research I was able to do around the web - it seemed like a great option and it was on sale, so I grabbed it.
When I got it - I was very happy with how it tracks, buffer quality (since I had to stick this infront of my dirt for better sound), and all the options of dialing in just the right amount of +oct, -oct, quint and dry signal. The controls are dead simple.
Soundwise it is very pleasant - I was able to dial cool bass sound on it and all the other trippy combos. You can get some epic black hole sounds out of it, if your setup allows it.
I was unable to notice any sound degradation from the pedal sitting in the chain, so as mentioned, the buffer seems of good quality.
The pedal looks and feels sturdy and trippy.

Verdict: I can only recommend getting this one!

I am amazed by this pedal. Very usable high quality sounds.
In the beginning its is not completely intuitive the setting of the different volumes in the final mix but once the MIX knob is understood it all goes great. There is some latency (Unavoidable) which creates a very subtle retuned slapback. The original sound is always in, a bit, otherwise it would sound flatter and would loose the attack. The 5th up is amazing.

Serves to generate a funky percussive organ kind of sound. Serves to impersonate a Brass section somehow... And put behind or after distortions, fuzz, etc.... It is just mindblowing.

It is not as flexible as other tools. Sound quality is great, and at the current price point (88€) it is difficult to beat.

Just decent

Firstly the quality is great, every part feels great, no extra noises and no noticeable signal degradation.
Now the drawbacks:
-There is definitely latency. Maybe it's lower than in most of the other options, but it's there.
-It sounds somewhat 8-bit Nintendo-ish, this could be fun sometimes, but you need to dial it quite back for a more rock-oriented sound.
-The Mix knob complicates things for no reason, it messes the octave balance with both the dry signal and the master output, so for unity gain you might have to dial the Mix in a spot that doesn't sound best.
It would be much easier, simpler and better sounding if there was a Dry Volume knob instead of the Dry-/MasterWet Mix knob.

Also keep in mind that it's not polyphonic, it can track certain arpeggios but it can't handle chords.

All in all I wouldn't change it for a POG, but I'l keep searching for a better tracking, faster and more natural octave pedal.

k
not for bass

Might be good for guitar but for the bass the quality of the octaves and fifth sounds is not the best, too synthy.
If connected to a daisy chain creates hum, needs adapter on its own
