SO
10kg is only due to the cheap carabiner clip not the very strong wire.
Scott O 25.08.2017
Wire is great the only thing which makes it weak is the carabiner clip which I replaced with a thick stone one which means the load the wire can handle is greater than 10kg by any how I put it on my hz-200 hazer and it does the job needed and stops it from flying if a bolt comes undone.

Its generally a good product, but has an issue
Anonymous 20.06.2016
Cons:
I generally have to swap out the screw link on these safety chains with a mini-caribener as the screw link supplied sometimes 'locks up' if it gets hot above a halogen light source.

Pros:

However the wire supplied is strong and has strong connections.

The product does not tend to take on a shape when bent and released - it always reverts back to a nice round loop of wire which is good.

For the price, its still a good buy.

Safety first

Always use safety cables on hanging lights!

These cables are very thick and could probably hold a falling 30kg light. I think the weight ratings for all these cables are about 1/3 of what they should.

Nevertheless as a responsible company we want to use the right certified equipment so we do buy the appropriate cables.

Good but a very small lock clip
Roken 06.09.2017
The quality is good but a slightly bigger locking clip would have been better. Does it's intended job though.
