Very well built and highly featured OD, distortion and boost. After my trusty Tubescreamer, this I think will be a permanent fixture on my board. Compliments both the TS and the two stages of my Cornerstone OD when stacked. The tonal choices etc are incredibly well thought out, but then Luke has been working to perfect the pedal. I’d never heard of Rodenburg before buying this pedal and there’s not many decent UTube reviews at the moment, so was a little nervous it would meet expectations. Suffice to say it did and then some.

Commandé pour remplacer une Fulltone GT500 ayant rendu l'âme après des années de bons et loyaux service , cette pédale est juste parfaite. Elle offre Overdrive, Disto et Boost dans un seul boitier utile pour économiser la place sur le pedalboard et les sorties d'alim. Pleins de réglages à tester pour trouver le bon son.

Die Erwartungen waren hoch, immerhin ist das Pedal von seiner Grundidee wie für mich gemacht. 5 Sterne gibts für die Features und Möglichkeiten sowie für die Verarbeitung. Der Sound: Ist halt immer Geschmacksache. Ich spiele das Pedal über einen cleanen Hotrod. Der Low-Gain-Sound ist prima, wirklich edel. Aber: Ich muss den Output auf mindestens 14 Uhr einstellen, damits im Gesamt-Setting passt. Mit dem High-Gain-Chennel hingegen tue ich mich schwerer: Abgesehen davon, dass ich dort den Output bei ca. 10 Uhr einstellen muss, ist mir der Sound zu dunkel, zu bauchig, zu rund. Die Gainreserven sind 1A. Aber selbst mit aufgedrehtem Tone-Poti und dem Tight-Schalter auf "on" droht der Sound im Bandgefüge unterzugehen. Wohlgemerkt, ich spiele eine Strat mit Single-Coils. Insgesamt bin ich ein bisschen enttäuscht. Dafür hat mir der A/B-Vergleich vor Augen geführt, was für ein tolles Pedal das T-Rex Mudhoney II ist. Das Rodenberg wandert vorderhand in die Grabbelkiste, das Mudhoney bleibt. Fazit: Sound ist und bleibt Geschmacksache, das mit den Einstellungen weniger.
