Good, but could be better.

I was pleased to receive the Hohner Flexrack and I examined it very carefully. It's pretty well made and yes it's a first in that the harp can be set at an angle that suits the user. What lets it down in my view is that it's a bit too big and bulky. By saying big I mean too wide. I'm a 10 hole blues harp player and this rack is made to take the much bigger harps as well. My current wire rack is specifically for blues harps. It's much smaller. I've got used to it and so I feel more comfortable with it (I can adjust it's angle to the mouth by simply bending the wire. It's definitely a step in the right direction though and if Hofner bring out a smaller version specifically for blues harps I'd buy it without hesitation

This harmonic harmonica is really sturdy and therefore very heavy and massive in front of the face. It not only fits Bluesharps into the holder, but also larger eg diatonic harmonicas. One can adjust the angle to the mouth with 2 knurled screws, which is an advantage over the competitors on the market. However, stub one at an excessive angle, the bracket for opening the actual bracket, to the chin. For me not ideal solved.
The bracket is secured with 2 knurled screws. In addition, the screws interlock so that the bracket is absolutely fixed and can no longer be moved. This is good if you are satisfied with the setting, but bad, if you want to move a little during the play. As both sides engage, you must always loosen both screws before you can adjust the bracket. This was too much for me and I cut the teeth on the left side and installed a fixed screw. Now I just pull the right screw. That is enough from the stability and I can adjust the holder with one hand.
The temple is too high for my taste. Therefore, I have shortened each side with an iron saw 2 cm and re-drilled holes. Now I can adjust the angle to the mouth optimally.
You can ask yourself, it makes sense to buy such a, not quite cheap part, in order first to rebuild it. Everyone has to decide this question himself. I would not give him up any more, and if he gave up the ghost once, I'll start a new order and start crafting.
I have tried all the mounting system for Bluesharp in all the years and am now at this landed. Also with the other models I first exchanged the wing nuts against knurled screws and carried out further rebuilding measures. Basic problem with almost all models, strap for me too high.
I also use a BluexLab FlexRack amplified? Which is built on the Hohner.
