Really Like It...after a bit of work

This is the second HB guitar with a skunk stripe that is not flush with the neck (the first being an MV4P bass). The skunk stripe was slightly sunken in on both ends. Fortunately it isn't too difficult to correct--progressive sanding from 400 to 1200 to white Scotch Brite. Unfortunately this left a mismatch in the finish, but one coat of Tru Oil gave it a perfect match. The fret ends we're also a bit scratchy, which again wasn't too hard to address.

Aside from that, I'm unimpressed with the tuners. Black tuners never seem to agree with me. They almost always feel cheap. Maybe I will replace them with gold if I can find a gold drop in bridge.

With that out of the way, I love it, particularly the pickups. They are much nicer than my other HH s-type--a Squier Contemporary Strat. Color and body finish is excellent.

Very happy with the purchase after some tinkering.

Ein echter Hammer!!

Ich hab mir die Gitarre bestellt, weil ich die Form mag und durch die Bestückung mit zwei Humbuckern einen anderen Sound wollte als 3 x Singlecoil. Das Ganze für sagenumwobenen 159 €? Ausprobieren war angesagt! Gitarre kam mit einem Tag Verspätung hier an, die Post hat wohl im Moment Probleme damit Termine einzuhalten: Seit drum. Gitarre ausgepackt und begutachtet: Verarbeitung: TipTop, Optik genau so (und das obwohl ich eigentlich lieber immer das Holz sehe) aber die lackierte Farbe ist schick. Meiner Meinung nach passen dazu auch die schwarzen Potiknöpfe und Mechaniken. Wenn ich das mit den Gitarren des großen F vergleiche die das Zehnfache kosten!! kann ich nur sagen, mindestens dieselbe Qualitätsstufe und das für 1/10tel des Preises ( ich weiß wovon ich spreche, ich hab in meiner 41 jährigen Historie als Gitarrist schon alle großen Marken durch und mittlerweile auch alles schon wieder verkauft, weil fürs aufgerufene Geld die Qualität nie stimmte! Hier ist das anders, Gitarre ist ne Überperformerin sozusagen. Sound: Super, die Humbucker bringen einen schönen warmen vollen Ton ob clean oder gain, die Splitcoilfunktion liefert typische, leisere Singlecoil Sounds. Tonblende funktioniert tadellos. Frage: Was will man mehr? Antwort: Nix!!! Die Gitarre bleibt und ich kann nur jedem empfehlen das Teil mal zu testen, ich bin echt schwer beeindruckt und begeistert

tengo una modern plus hss y estoy encantado con ella pero me faltaba algo mas de punch no llegue a hacerme con una de las antiguas hh asi que estaba esperando esto hace mucho, no ha decepcionado es cierto que no tiene el acabado del mástil como la plus pero con un buen ajuste y un poco de aceite de limón se ha quedado fantástica por cierto mi st-modern hh pesa bastante menos que la modern plus que ya pesaba poquito. Como pegas el acabado que aunque el color es precioso (mucho mas bonito que en fotos) tiene fallos en la pintura, aunque son casi inapreciables le quitan el 10, es sonido es correcto para el precio y a mi me gusta bastante. en resumen no vas a encontrar una double fatstrat para zurdos en ningún sitio y menos a este precio, si te gusta el estilo strato pero quieres humbuckers ni te lo pienses.

Ich wollte schon immer mal eine Hardtail Strat mit Humbuckern haben. Die Harley Benton hat einen ziemlich korrekten (dazu noch aus Erle!) ST Korpus - ganz klassisch mit schönen abgerundeten(!) Kanten. Der hintere Versatz an der Halsbefestigung ist prima ausgeführt. Nicht klassisch, ja, aber vorbildlich ästhetisch gemacht. Die gesamte Verarbeitung ist tadellos. Natürlich klingt diese Gitarre nicht wie eine Strat - aber sie klingt klasse!!! Wer damit nicht berühmt wird - also an dieser Klampfe liegt es garantiert nicht. ;-) Was ich mir wüschen würde? Eine Plus-Variante mit ästhetischer Blickfang-Body-Holzmaserung (evtl. auch offenporig), roasted Vollmaple Neck und silberner Chromhardware von Gotoh. Luxuswünsche. Ich weiß.
