Excellent strings
Anonymous 15.03.2017
I have been using these strings for roughly 2 years now, in that time i have had my guitar (LTD H351NT) set up in drop A, drop G - but recently I have joined a band that plays in drop A# and C standard.

Used in bedroom jams through basic practise amps, used live through a 6505+ half stack and used in the studio, I have never had any problems with these strings, they never break, but do go a bit dull after maybe 2 months of regular play (of course compared to brand new fresh strings, and i play around 3-7 hours a day, so they get a fair amount of usage)

The only annoying part is that the nut and tuning peg required some filing down as the low string is absolutely massive. (requiring some basic tools and knowledge of how to use them, this process was very basic and only took me 5 minutes with the right tools)

Great strings, dirt cheap, what's not to like?

These strings plus a .13 gauge e string are on my Ibanez RGD 7-String.
I tune to F# and these strings feel and sound perfect for me.
The base sound is so huge, so you can feel the kick in the nuts from your cab without mumpfy on open powerchords and chugging.
My playstyle is from neoclassical till hardcore/djently open riffing and these strings are great sounding in the sweeping arpeggois with some open chuggy lowstring riffing.
I´ve never heard anything like this with other strings.
The condition is ok, I have to change the strings every two - three weeks.
For real low tunings absolutl recommendation.

G string is wound - What a relief
Anonymous 15.01.2016
These strings are awesome for playing low tunings. I don't actually have a baritone guitar, I put them in my les paul.

The problem I had with other sets e.g. not even slinky is that the g string is plain and it gives me all sorts of problems with getting it to sound in tune so I'd always have to buy a separate wound string which would cost me more money and would be a pain.

These strings come with a wound g string and it's awesome.

If you're going to put these in a normal guitar though just be warned that the low E string is massive and likely won't fit through the hole in your machine head, I had to file mine out a bit (as well as the nut) but I'm glad I did. Now I can hit the strings as hard as I want without them falling flat.

Ideal for Low tunings

I have used this set on my PRS 277 Baritone to set it up to Drop A and my Chapman Bea Baritone to Drop G# but I switched the .072 with a .074 Elixir string for better tension.
I was really impressed with the clarity of the sound as these strings complemented the pickups and gave a nice warm sound all around.
I gave them 4 stars in the quality section only because compered to the Elixir strings they seemed to wear off quicker but taken in consideration the price gap between Ernie Ball and Elixir I would say it's a good trade off.
