Had It For 3 Months Now
LiamNomad, 20.10.2018
It's well made and compact from a design perspective, but you cannot get away from the fact that it has 2 tiny speakers that really don't deliver. The 'portability' concept is good and the wireless works perfectly, but at low volumes you can hear your guitar strings chime and at higher volumes the sound is muddy.

I appreciate that Boss has tried to deliver something for us rocking apartment dwellers - but at this price, it really does not deliver once you get past all the gizmos. Instead buy something else 'low wattage' with at least a 10" or 12" speaker plus a e100 wireless kit if that's what you want - as I am now doing.

Whatever Bonedo has tested, I do not know. Whatever the sound on YouTube, I do not know. I ordered a Katana Air many weeks ago for then 385, - Euro blindly based on the test reports and finally got. Currently the thing costs 409, - Euro - thanks Thomann but I paid the price then.

Lt. Bonedo offers the Katana Air "a great tonal variety". Well, it all sounds like watering can, sometimes more, sometimes less annoying. Sound diversity looks different to me, but: ok. The tested "extremely handy dimensions" are big about shoe box. Lt. Bonedo "(he) manages to generate convincing sounds." They have different ears than me. Anyone who agrees to such statements in the sound of the Katana Air, had a different device than me. "Bought" I do not want to say now, the testers get their equipment safely. A rogue who thinks evil doing so. The little thing made of cheap plastic sounds exactly what it looks like: a little thing made of cheap plastic. I also have a Mackie Freeplay. A little bigger thing made of cheap plastic. But, people, there are WORLDS in between. The thing is loud and sounds useful, the Android app works well and clearly. The Katana Air is closed at high room volume, the app is constantly losing contact and clear is different - from intuitive as the Mackie not to talk. Of course, the app has more features and more control over the Katana Air. But once in the wrong place clicked on "back" and the app of the Katana Air ends and wants to be restarted and especially newly connected again. Just annoying. The only thing - but not in my guitars with active pickups - works perfectly, is the wireless instead of cable.

Conclusion: Looks like a cookie jar, sounds like a cookie jar and the app uses like an ill-considered quick shot of a low cost manufacturer under time pressure. My part went back immediately. The advance lobes of the testers were as big as my disappointment.
