I'm a jazz drummer and I've been using the Vic Firth VFT2 Timpani Sticks Cartwheel for many years. For me, they have a perfect balance of outer softness and harder core which give a great sound on toms as well as cymbals. I generally use 7A sticks and these mallets have the most similar weight/response I can get.

Benutze diesen Malletstick von Vic Firth für Percussion Konzerte. D.h. schöne Swells auf meinen Zildjian Becken. Der Stick liegt optimal in der Hand und fabriziert (natürlich bei richtiger Spielweise) einen schönen weichen, warmen Sound. Ansonsten eben gewohnte Vic Firth Qualität. Der Preis ist extrem hoch, aber so ein Timpani Stick spielt man ja auch die nächsten 20 Jahre... oder länger!

Vu le prix de ce genre d'accessoire, il serait intéressant d'avoir une comparaison (ex: sur une échelle de la mailloche la plus souple à la plus dure).
Finalement on achète un peu à l'aveuglette et on est déçu ... bon ça fait l'affaire qd même... mais avoir une idée de comparaison entres ces types de produits permettrait de ne pas se tromper ;)
