Plenty of flexibility on board
The Varytec Hero Wash 1940 IP combines the features, performance, and appearance expected of the latest generation of moving heads, including pixel control for individually addressing each LED and a motorised zoom that allows the beam to be focused narrowly or opened out to a considerably wider angle. With its performance capabilities and IP65 rating, it is well suited to medium and large stages, particularly in outdoor environments where its robust design can be put to good use. Its light and colour output is delivered by 19 RGBW LEDs, each rated at 40W, while 16-bit technology ensures precise control and smooth rotational movements. Measuring 494 x 408 x 302mm and weighing in at 23.5kg, there can be no doubt that this is a substantial moving head designed for demanding applications.

Lighting that really packs a punch
As a typical wash light, the Varytec Hero Wash 1940 IP produces a soft beam, while its motorised zoom adds considerable flexibility by allowing the dispersion angle to be adjusted continuously from 4º to 55°. This makes it suitable even for illuminating surfaces and stages as well as for softer object lighting, with features such as automatic position correction, an electronic shutter, and four selectable dimmer curves adding to its versatility. For integration into a lighting setup, it offers two DMX modes with either 22 or 93 channels, while settings can be adjusted directly on the unit using the backlit OLED display and touch-sensitive buttons. Power and data linking also make it possible to configure the spotlight together with other units, providing a practical approach to larger setups.

For professional lighting applications
The Varytec Hero Wash 1940 IP is primarily designed for professional and ambitious semi-professional lighting and event technicians, operators, lighting designers, DJs, and similar users, and it offers the beam power, pixel control, colour range, and mixing capabilities needed to create distinctive lighting effects at medium to large-scale events. Its applications range from outdoor Rock concerts and open-air theatre performances to tradeshows and other event settings, while the individual pixel control can also turn the fixture into an eye-catching centrepiece on the dance floor in clubs and other indoor venues. Its flexible design allows it to be mounted on a truss, positioned on the floor alongside a red carpet, placed in front of a backdrop, or used to provide efficient aisle lighting. For dry-hire companies, it can likewise be a versatile addition to an existing equipment portfolio.

Suitable for outdoor use in accordance with IP65
A spotlight with an IP65 protection rating is protected against water jets from any direction and completely sealed against dust, which means it can be used temporarily outdoors even in challenging weather conditions. This is one of the key arguments in favour of moving heads such as the Varytec Hero Wash 1940 IP, although the benefits of this protection extend beyond outdoor use and are equally relevant to indoor events. The effective dust protection helps reduce the need for servicing, which can make a noticeable difference to the workload in professional environments. In addition, IP65-rated spotlights can generally be expected to have a longer service life than models designed specifically for indoor applications with an IP20 rating.
