JL
Nice instruments, but the bags need improvement
Joe Loughlin 26.03.2022
I'm more than happy with the actual instruments. They are of good quality and sound, but the bags....I bought a number of these and to things have already gone wrong with the bags. The attachable straps are clearly not strong enough to cope with the larger, heavier tongue drum, and it has resulted in the metal clips breaking. Even with the smaller ones, there are problems with the strap that is part of the bag. These have started to come off and have affected the zip. If anyone opens these all the way, the zips will also become unusable. Please have a look at these issues, Thomann as I love the instruments and am intending to by more.

Sounds a bit like a tin

Received this and didn’t like the sound and was going to return it. But I thought I would try a rubber mallet and the sound was a lot softer and nicer.

Metallic and loud
ziwa 04.02.2022
This tongue drum has a rather metallic sound for my taste, i.e. not very soft or ‘round’. Also, it seems difficult to play softly. Sound and feel is mainly a question of personal preference though, and the material and quality is the usual very high Thomann standard.
