Poor imitation
The CD55 tom mics rattle a lot, especially after all the grills fell off. They seem to simply use the elastic qualities of the grill to secure itself, which of course over time weakens and fails. However they do sound pretty good after wadded to inhibit rattling! The supplied clips are terrible, and the captive screw eventually comes free and the whole clip is irreparably useless. The BD200 kick mic is dull and lacklustre compared to say, an SM57 on kick.
Overall, I'm inclined to recommend spending a bit more money once, rather than buying twice. With reasonable usage, these mics won't last you all that long.
