Vintage Les Paul sounds!
Alex_vd_P 25.11.2017
I swapped this in my Epiphone Traditional Pro goldtop.
The standard pickups were just too hot for me and i wanted to change them. As a huge fan of the tone of the Billy Gibbons my choice of which pickups to get was not hard.

The tone of the pickups are vintage, and very defined an clear. You can hear all notes in a chord, it does not become a blur, and the tone is very sweet.
Installation was not hard at all, as long as you know how to read a diagram and when you know how to opperate a soldering iron.
They are 4-wire pickups, so you can coilsplit them as well.

These are not the cheapest pu's but they are worth the money.

If i ever needed to swap pu's again in anyof my LP style guitars, i would buy them again, and i would recommend these pu's to any of my friends. (and to all of you reading this)

Too much treble for me
nomasforfun 30.10.2019
Great pick ups, but I didn't expect the trebles to be so ferocious! Placed these in my Epiphone Les Paul Standard (2005).
Playing between 6th and 3rd string the sound was great, but once on 2nd and 1st string the treble is savage, specially for the bridge pick up. I had to moderate the plectrum attack while on these two strings to tame the treble response. I can say these pickups have way more treble than my single coils american standard telecaster!

JJ
The ZZ sound
Josip Jakopovic 30.10.2020
Without a doubt, you get the ZZ sound all the way from the early days to modern high gain era, looks fantastic, sounds fantastic, high note definition, and was blown away it was not high output of a pickup I was expecting. From cleans to high gain metal, everything sounds good with this P.A.F. style pickup. Usually, not a fan of Duncans, this pickup and the Red Devil Billy Gibbons signature humbucker in a single coil format, you get what you pay and even more.

P
For a self-made Les Paul-like guitar
Pietr 08.06.2020
I built a Les Paul-ish guitar a few years ago installing pickups that were around. The guitar is very responsive and has a lot of sustain, bat the pickups were too hot and kind of killed the dynamics making the kids to prominent especially with the neck pickup.
With Pearly Gates I got a brighter sound, a more dynamic response and even more sustain
