Reliable neckband microphone
The Sennheiser HSP 4 EW 3 is a condenser neckband microphone developed for wireless voice transmission as part of a Sennheiser Wireless Evolution system, and combines a convenient design with clear sound capture. The directional microphone capsule effectively reduces feedback, whilst the lightweight neckband ensures straightforward and comfortable use. The adjustable headband can be easily adapted to different users and offers lasting comfort even during prolonged use, and the flexible gooseneck mount allows precise positioning of the capsule for optimal sound capture. With its user-friendly design, the Sennheiser HSP 4 EW 3 offers a convenient and comfortable solution for clear voice recording.
Efficient sound transmission
At the heart of the Sennheiser HSP 4 EW 3, a continuously polarised microphone capsule with a frequency range of 40Hz to 20kHz delivers clear and detailed speech reproduction across a wide spectrum. It is designed for sound pressure levels of up to 150dB, allowing even very loud sound sources to be recorded without distortion, with integrated wind and pop filters to minimise unwanted background noise such as small bursts of air, ensuring a clean and balanced audio signal. The Sennheiser HSP 4 EW 3 features a cardioid polar pattern that suppresses side noise, ensuring the perfomer's voice is always clearly audible. For wireless transmission, the Sennheiser HSP 4 EW 3 is connected to a transmitter via the mini-jack socket at the end of the 1.6m long cable.
Capture vocals comfortably
The Sennheiser HSP 4 EW 3 offers a comfortable, reliable solution for wireless voice recording, ideally designed for use with the Sennheiser Evolution Wireless series. The headband and the flexible gooseneck can be individually adjusted to the wearer's head size, allowing the microphone capsule to be positioned precisely while ensuring a secure and comfortable fit. A rugged design with PVD-coated metal components protects against wear and tear, and the detachable connection cable ensures a quick and easy replacement if required. The fourth-generation Sennheiser HSP 4 EW 3 has been completely redesigned and now features a more robust clip to secure the microphone arm, ensuring a comfortable, secure fit. Those wishing to use the HSP 4 EW 3 in a wired configuration can opt for the corresponding version with a microphone power supply.
About Sennheiser
In June 1945, Prof. Fritz Sennheiser founded the Wennebostel Laboratory, which initially produced measuring equipment. Commissioned by Siemens in 1945, the young company developed the MD-1 microphone, which was launched in 1946. After the development of further microphones, the company was renamed Sennheiser Electronic in 1958. Two years later, Sennheiser introduced the MD 421 dynamic microphone, which is still in production today and still held in high esteem by many sound engineers. Further groundbreaking developments, such as the HD 414 headphones and the classic MD 441 microphone, hugely enhanced the company's international reputation, eventually making Sennheiser one of the leading manufacturers of microphone and headphone systems in the world.
Modular design for versatility
The Sennheiser HSP 4 EW 3 features a modular design ideal for a wide range of applications, offering versatile flexibility on stage. Thanks to a detachable clip, the gooseneck can be attached to either the left or right side of the headband, giving the microphone great flexibility. Furthermore, its beige colour allows it to blend discreetly into the background on stage. With a length of 1.6m, the cable is long enough to connect the microphone to an optional transmitter for wireless transmission, allowing the device to be conveniently stowed in a pocket or attached to a belt without restricting a performer's freedom of movement. As a condenser microphone, the HSP 4 EW 3 requires the 48V phantom power supplied by the transmitter, which must be activated to ensure proper operation.
