Schaller hat mit den GrandTunes sensationelle Open Gear-Mechaniken auf den Markt gebracht, und diese sind nicht die ersten, aber auch nicht die letzten, die ich verbaut habe. Besser als Waverlys? Nachdem immer mehr Hersteller dazu übergehen, auch an Gitarren jenseits der 5k-Grenze günstige Mechaniken zu verbauen (dann gerne mit dem eigenen Markennamen verziert), sind die GrandTunes eine perfekte Alternative zum 1-zu-1-Austausch, weil von den Abmessungen her auch kompatibel mit Grovers, Gotohs und dergleichen.
