If you are Remo die hard Ambassador/Emperor user and not tried this head - it's time to do it.
Remo Vintage A is a two ply head, created to reassemble the first remo drum head made in 50's. Which does not mean that it sounds like that.
Sound takes you closer to emperor, but with more mellow and warm attack.
It sounds great on modern drums but if you have vintage 3-ply re-ring shells (Rogers, Ludwig, Slingerland, Camco) - it will give you a lot of pleasure!
Generally the head starts to give the full response after week, two of playing.
Sounds exceptionally good on vintage Ludwig Supraphonic snare.
