Ich spiele seit ca. 2 Jahren den Perpetual Standardsatz auf meinem Rubner (1952). Die G-Saite-Standard ist sehr geschmeidig für die linke Hand... aber vor allem beim Arco-Spiel recht dünn im Ton.
Die neue G-Saite-Stark ist etwas dicker mit mehr Zugkraft und erfordert im direkten Vergleich mehr Druck der linken Hand. Nach einer Einspielphase sind die Nachteile aber zu vernachlässigen, die Vorteile überwiegen deutlich:
- passend und ausgewogen im Satz
- noch bessere Intonation
- verbesserte Ansprache des Bogens
- der Ton ist laut, voll, rund, kräftig
- vor allem in höheren Lagen und im Daumenaufsatz
- Übergang von D-Saite zur G-Saite ist nun stufenlos in Klangfarbe und Dynamik.

Fazit: Die G-Saite-Stark ist eine gelungene Neuerung und vor allem beim Arco-Spiel eine deutliche Verbesserung der ohnehin sehr guten Perpetual-Saiten.

Pour moi la version strong de la G Perpetual est idéale en remplacement de celle du jeu d’origine. Plus homogène avec le reste. Dommage que Pirastro ne propose pas le jeu classique avec ce G Strong.. au détail ça avoisine les 300euros le jeu! Le son est parfait pour moi! Le bon compromis entre la Thomastik violette et la Evah Pirazzi light. Ou comme une Helicore Hybrid en mieux. Arco ou Pizz, un très beau son.
Seul point négatif: un peu chère par rapport au G normal.
