Filzplektren sind ja eher sehr speziell, die typischen Materialien für Picks sind die Kunststoffe Nylon, Delrin und Zelluloid.
Für Filzplektren gibt es die drei verschiedenen Ausgangsmaterialien Wolle, Baumwolle und synthetischen Filz.
Das Pickboy Felt Raindrop Blue Hard Pick ist leider kein reines Filzplektrum! Es besteht aus einem Kunststoffkern und einer Filzbeschichtung. Das sorgt für einen guten Gripp. Leider spielt sich die Plektrumspitze bzw. der Filz daran sehr schnell ab, danach ist es einfach ein gewöhnliches Plektrum mit einer griffigen Filzoberfläche.
