I bought this on the insistence of my son 10 years old for his Christmas. He loves it and it is well made but makes limited sounds, and, in my opinion, whilst it works well, such as it is, it is probably a little over priced

surprenant et amusant

Cet instrument fonctionne très bien, évidemment il demande quand même un petit temps d'adaptation, (comme les autres) mais il reste simples à jouer.
Avec un peu d'entrainement on arrive a sortir rapidement quelques mélodies faciles. il est étonnant et surprenant car on est pas habitué à entendre ce genre de sons .
Perso, je suis ventriloque et je me sers avant tout de la bouche comme une marionnette (customisez là ... perruque,moustache c'est encore plus drôle) ensuite je fini par jouer avec "joyeux anniversaire", le public est tellement enjoué et étonné qu'il pardonne largement quelques fausses notes (si vous en faites).
Vous pouvez même le faire répondre par des sons bizarres, le faire rigoler et des tas d'autres bruitages "style cartoons..."
Franchement ça vaut le coup de s'y consacrer car cet instrument est très fun et déclenche beaucoup de sourires par son originalité, c'est un bon allié pour faire un final original et laisser un bon souvenir à votre auditoire, entre potes ou pour votre plaisir perso...!

Vorher informieren und nicht zu viel erwarten

Unbedingt vorher Review Videos anschauen, denn:
- Die App funktioniert nicht auf allen Handys. Bei unseren Xiaomi Telefonen kam das Signal anscheinend doppelt durch Kabel und Mikro.
- Der Ton kommt sobald man den Hals berührt, der "Mund" moduliert nur etwas die Lautstärke. Ich persönlich fände es cooler, wenn der Ton erst beim Öffnen des Mundes käme, analog zum Saitenanschlag. Vielleicht bei Otamatone 2.0 ...
- Otamatone Neo ist zwar etwas größer und breiter als Classic, aber immer noch arg kompakt. Für Erwachsene lässt sich z.b. der Halbtonschritt zwischen E und F kaum mit zwei Fingern nebeneinander greifen. Wir haben's für die Kinder gekauft, also okay. Die haben Spaß und der Preis ist weniger riskant als ein Deluxe.

Wenn man mit diesen Einschränkungen leben kann ist es ein super Angebot von Thomann!

:-( -> Das mitgelieferte Kabel hatte auch noch einen Wackelkontakt. Da die App aber sowieso nicht so richtig läuft ist es uns erstmal egal.

:-) -> Das Griffbrett ist wie ein Saiteninstrument aufgebaut. Hat also mehrere Oktaven, die zum Kopf hin immer "enger" werden. Ich hatte ein Stimmgerät angeklammert und die Positionen grob mit Marker an den Hals geschrieben. Sogar die Kinder kommen damit zurecht. Die mitgelieferte Grifftabelle passt von der Größe nicht 100%, und es sind auch nicht alle Noten drauf (bzw einige sind Flats/Sharps).
Hinten hat man einen Schalter um die Tonhöhe nochmal tiefer oder höher zu stellen. Leider passt es bei meinem Gerät dann nicht mehr 1:1 auf meine Markierungen, so dass ein F auf einem F# landet usw.

Fazit: Lustiges Gag-Instrument, motivierend für Anfänger (wenn Markierungen drauf sind) und die Griffe der linken Hand lassen sich in der Theorie auf Saiteninstrumente wie Geige, Erhu, Gitarre übertragen... Der Preis für das NEO ist okay. Wenn man immer noch Zweifel hat und auf die kleinen Verbesserungen verzichten kann, reicht auch das Classic. Und zum "ernsthafteren" Musizieren greift man lieber zum Deluxe.
