Great construction
I needed this plug as my choice of cable for darker sounding guitars (low capacitance, Cordial CGK Road 75) is slightly thicker than most guitar cables.
In a way I was rather annoyed that I needed a different type to the model of Neutrik plug that I had been using in the past but in a way I don't mind it so much now as this slightly 'enlarged' type is not only as good as the regular Neutrik plug but the oversided body has more metal so -in a way- it feels as it provides an even more solid and robust feel to it.
By the way, soldering your cable onto it is not easier or more difficult that when using your regular Neutrik plug.
The only downside is that this plug is a bit more expensive than the regular one but still good value for money for a very good quality product.

Another Neutrik quality product
Buying Neutrik, you know what you get. This connector is no exception. I bought this to use with a speaker cable (with 2,5mm2 conductors). Soldering copper conductors of that diameter onto the "cups" in this conductor is difficult for a soldering newbie. I can't imagine being able to solder a thicker conductor securely in this plug simply because there's the space is so limited.
