Neutrik NP2 XL

I really liked the design idea of this jack connector. I like how it snugs the cable and holds it in place. However, the connector was kind of hard to work with. The central connection (tip) is kind of exposed and the sleeve connection is just like a big bowl. I was always worried that it would disconnect and make a short inside. That and my low confidence in my soldering skills made me go with a fully assembled manufactured cable.
