Buy a tube instead
I've screwed it to a round base and thought to use it, unfortunately this thing was not able to carry a shock mount (without a mic) in any direction without bending all the way down.
if you want to use it for an extremely light weight propose it may work for you,.

Medium lenght gooseneck
Great microphone support system, sturdy enough to hold heavy handheld dynamic microphones (like the Rode M1 for example)
Used this in conjunction with a straight microphone stand for live performances and also to use a (lightweight) condenser microphone on the PC. The quality is very good and it's almost silent when moved, recommended for streamers and singers alike.
Also used this to place kick drum and amplifiers microphones, and to mic up a double bass using it in conjunction with a short mic stand, it was very effective and it didn't obstruct too much the view from the audience.

Great!
I bought this Millenium goose neck to use with my stereo mics as I use a T-Stereo bar with several microphone types, from Rode NT1s to AKG C451s. The Millenium Goose support it all really well. What more you need..

Decent gooseneck - what more to say?
Bought this for a drum vocal, to allow a straight-up stand to be used by him without a boom getting in his way. It's well constructed, stiff enough for the job and so far has been extremely practical. I'm pleased with the result!

A bit Goosed!
I bought this goose neck to use with my stereo mics as I use a table mounted boom in my home studio. When I fitted the mics with the stereo bar, the goose neck was unable to support and kept dropping. Unable to come up with a fix. Have to go and get mic stand now.
