Im Gegensatz zu normalen Beckenständern kann bei diesem Modell das Becken freier schwingen, weshalb in den meisten Orchestern diese Art von Ständer zum Einsatz kommt. Der Unterschied ist deutlich hörbar, aber nicht gravierend. Der meiste Klanggewinn ergibt sich dadurch, dass der Beckenständer selbst durch den gebogenen, federnden Hals nicht mehr zum "mitsummen" angeregt wird. Wer glaubt, dass sein Ständer das ohnehin nicht mach, der vergleiche! Einziger Nachteil: Die Höhenverstellung könnte mehr Spielraum nach unten haben.
