Truly professional percussion

This is a well-made and great sounding piece of percussion. The relative slackness of the head and the consistency of the jingles allows for a huge range of sounds, depending on how its played - not necessarily easy - it's an instrument that needs to be learned rather than a toy.

Gutes Ansprechverhalten bei nicht wirklich tollem Klang...

Das künstliche Fell hat ein sehr gutes Ansprechverhalten, d. h. beim Anschlagen entwickelt sicvh sehr schön und ohne große Mühe ein guter Ton. Auch fühlt sich das Fell mit seiner außen rauhen Oberfläche sehr angenehm an. Im Vergleich zu dem Meinl-Tambourine TAH2AB mit Ziegenfell klingt es weniger warm, sondern eher perkussiv. Das ist letztlich Geschmackssache. Das Ziegenfell erfordert allerdings meines Eindrucks nach etwas mehr Spielgefühl, um den gewünschten Ton zu erzeugen.

Nun zu den "Jingles": Der Klang der Schellen ist eher hell und scheppernd. Setzt sich im Spiel mit anderen Instrumenten sicher gut durch. Allein gespielt empfinde ich die Schellen im Klang allerdings als sehr spitz und ohrenbeteubend. Hier klingen bei dem alternativen Modell TAH2AB die Schellen etwas gefälliger und weniger "anstrengend" fürs Ohr.

Im Zusammenspiel mit dem Fell klingt das Tambourine insgesamt nicht voll und warm, sondern eher steril und leblos. Wie schon erwähnt kann der Klang im Zusammenspiel mit anderen Instrumenten oder per Mikrofon abgenommen dennoch sehr passend klingen. Ich kann nur vom Solo-Spiel berichten.

Ich finde hinsichtlich der Schellen und des Fells das oben genannte "Ziegenfell-Modell" deutlich angenehmer im Klang und habe mich letztlich auch dafür entschieden. Für Veganer ist ein Ziegenfell natürlich kaum geeignet und sie werden mit diesem Tambourine hier sicher auch glücklich werden. ;-)
