Die Meinl habe ich hauptsächlich deswegen gekauft, weil bei dieser Variante nicht das Logo von Meinl in das Kettenhemd gestrickt ist. Die Shekere ist shön groß, lässt sich gut handlen und hat einen tollen Sound. Im Gegensatz zu den orignal Kalebassen ist sie viel lauter (Material ist härter) und höhenreicher in der Rassel. Der Ton beim raufschlagen auf dem Boden ist viel lauter als bei den Naturkalebassen. Und sie ist unverwüstlich. Genau das Richtige für Bühne und große Gruppen (z.B. Drumzirkel).
