Sweet sound

To my taste this is the best Meinl splash ever - very musical, nice low pitch, very quick, angry sizzle - perfect for an accent. Also very nice to crash ride it. Extremely beautiful finish, nice hammer marks, looks sturdy to withstand quite the abuse.

Super Becken

Ich hatte mir lange überlegt welche neuen Becken ich mir kaufen werde, man tut dies ja nicht jedes Jahr. Nach langem hin und her habe ich mich für die Byzance extra dry Serie entschieden. Ich kann nur sagen, diese Becken sind fantastisch. Ich bin sehr zufrieden über diesen trashy washy Sound. Das erstaunliche ist dass es in vielen Musikrichtungen gebraucht werden kann. Ich spiele eher Jazz-Fusion, mein Sohn spielt Ska und wirklich Heavy Sachen.

Das hat mich am meisten erstaunt wie vielseitig die Becken sind. Es ist natürlich immer Geschmacksache, ich würde keine anderen mehr haben wollen.

Desweiteren sehen sie auch noch gut aus. Meinl macht Becken in einer hervoragenden Qualität, nebenbei, diese Becken sind auch teuer, aber ihr Geld wert.

vintage à moitié

beau produit avec un magnifique look vintage intéressant pour la surface supérieure.
je regrette que le travail de finition n'ai été effectué que sur cette surface supérieure, la face inférieure étant d'un aspect classique, plutôt brillant.
on n'achète pas une cymbale QUE pour son aspect esthétique mais ce détail rend tout de même l'objet moins authentique.
si la finition avait été sur les deux faces j'imagine que le prix n'aurait pas été le même, alors qu'ici le rapport qualité-prix reste extrêment satisfaisant.
de plus cela aurait probablement eu une incidence sur le son.
cette cymbale semble solide mais est très fine, son poids est léger, le m'attendais à avoir plus de matière métallique, mais il s'agit là d'une 10 pouces et non d'une ride.
pour la sonorité j'en suis très satisfait.
son volume sonore sort bien dans le set de cymbales, belles harmoniques.
reste à voir comment elle vieillira (pour de vrai!) avec le temps.

Mein wichtister Effekt

Dieses Splash ist bis heute (ich schreibe dies einige Jahre nach Kauf) eines meiner wichtigsten Becken im Sortiment. Es klingt dreckig und zügig aus. Es lässt sich "normal" als Splash benutzen und harmoniert mit meinem Byzance Traditional 8" Splash. Doch es ist auch geeignet für Fills und als klangliche Erweiterung meiner Snare-Rimshots, indem ich gleichzeitig auf das Splash schlage. Es klingt fast wie ein China, nur eben kompakter und leiser. Ein kleines, wunderbares, universales Wunderwerk. Ich LIEBE dieses Splash!
