Mine was faulty but great bass
Mine was faulty, one of the stacked knobs (tone) worked intermittently. Thomann was very nice about it and the bass is on its way back.
Apart from this minor issue which could certainly be fixed easily, it is a great bass, that sounds great, with a great preamp. Two downsides though: I suspect the tone in passive mode does not do a lot (but it may be because mine was faulty). And it is heavy.

Better than Gen1
A couple years ago, I had a Sire gen. 1. It was a good value but many thing left to be desired I thought. On this Gen.2 the main imporvement for me are :
1. pickups
2. brdge
3. feel of the neck (gen one was sticky, this one is satin)
Out of the box, my d strings buzzes quite a bit, can't figure out why. Waiting to hear from thomann about it.

Dream bass guitar
In past I only played fretted basses and after years of break I decided to try fretless. I found that "Marcus Miller" has a lot of them and therefore decided to choose this one. Delivery was perfect (international to Armenia), I could tune and play this bass immediately. Sound is amazing, playability as well. Overall it is one of the best basses I have owned and I highly recommend it.
