Gibson has put out some mediocre quality guitars, but I'm pleased to say I'm overjoyed with this from Thomann. There are some guitar dealers who let you choose the guitar by maple top/colour, but I just bought blindly. Definitely a keeper.

I couldn’t be more pleased with this LP. The quality and sound are amazing and the setup out of the box was spot on… just needed tuning.
Love the finish, with the satin nitro finish being a little lower key than the gloss. Makes the neck feel more comfortable to me too.

Optisch und spielerisch überzeugt die Gitarre auf Anhieb: tolle Haptik, sehr guter Klang und mit 4 kg ein ideales Gewicht für eine Les Paul Standard.

Leider trübt ein klar sichtbarer Makel den Gesamteindruck deutlich. Auf der Rückseite, nahe des Umschalters, wurde offenbar bereits im Werk ein herausgebrochenes Holzstück (7cm) eingesetzt. Die Reparatur ist zwar sauber ausgeführt, bleibt jedoch sichtbar und vermittelt den Eindruck einer bereits instandgesetzten Gitarre. In dieser Preisklasse ist das enttäuschend und wirkt sich negativ auf den Wiederverkaufswert aus.

Auch bei Thomann wäre eine bessere Qualitätskontrolle wünschenswert. Eine zuvor bestellte Epiphone (B-Stock) kam bereits mit einem massiven Riss am Hals an. Die Erwartung, mit einer neuen Gibson auf Nummer sicher zu gehen, wurde leider nicht erfüllt.

Fazit: Klang und Spielbarkeit top – Verarbeitungsmangel in dieser Preisklasse jedoch nicht akzeptabel.
Ich bin noch am überlegen ob ich sie zurück sende - und die nächste mir dann vor Ort aussuche.
