This is the instrument used in the old British children's show The Clangers. They were little animated wool puppets and the actors doing the voices would have a script and play the melody of the words through this whistle.

This whistle brings back the memories. I also remember partying with one in the street when France won the World Cup in 1998. I bought this to replace it as it's a bit worse for wear now.

Still the same quality slide. Just keep it lubricated and it will last many years.

I use this one a lot. Very usable. My only complaint is the sometimes metal sounds (harmonics) that come with sliding. I expected a bit more stability for this price. But there are not so much alternatives that have a slide of this length.

klingt ziemlich "windig", finde ich . . . eher wie diese Kinderspielzeuge . . . als Ambient Sound brauchbar, dann aber mit Effekt: z.B. Echo ab 800 ms aufwärts oder krasse Hallfahne ( oder beides ;-) ) für chillig-spaciges Zeug!!

Beim ersten Einsatz hatte ich gleich diesen Verschlußdeckel hinten in der Hand, schlecht fixiert.

Bonjour, j'utilise exactement une même Slide Whistle Gewa Acme depuis 30 ans, pour moi ça toujours été la meilleure. Je l'utilise en mélodique. J'en ai acheté une autre en réserve parce que la mienne réparée, lubrifiée etc.. plusieurs fois j'ai peur qu'elle me lâche un de ces jours. C'est peut être un hasard ou un défaut de fabrication de celle ci mais malheureusement je n'ai pas le même rendu:
- quand je descend dans les graves je n'ai plus le beau son presque syrinx de ma première flûte mais un harmonique aigu.
- toujours quand je descend dans les graves j'ai un "toc" à l'arrivée très désagréable ce qui me fait penser qu'il manque une rondelle isolante en caoutchouc.
Bref pour moi elle est inutilisable
J'aurais du la renvoyer, c'est ma faute, mais manque de temps... et puis je répète je l'ai achetée en réserve et donc elle a dormi tout ce temps dans un tiroir. Maintenant j'hésite à en acheter une autre...
