It Sounds So GOOD

This is a fantastic pedal for everyone looking for rich, saturated, musical overdrive and distortion tone. Although I actually bought it for the hi-gain channel (which really delivers), it's the lo-gain channel that surprised me the most. It's got beautiful warm tube-like tones that come really close to those generated by top-shelf tube amps.
A big plus over other pedals or preamps with two channels is that both have their own EQ, presence and gain controls, including very useful "tight" switches.
One minor fault: the metal clip that grabs the input jack was so tight, that the first time I removed the jack, I kind of wrecked it. it got all bent and I had to open up the pedal to take the clip out and bend it back into shape. I guess it was just this particular clip though, as there were no issues on the output side.

I love the Friedman BE-OD Deluxe!

I love this pedal, it's a high-gain monster.
I replaced my other Friedman BE-OD with this Deluxe version because having 2 different gain stages/channels is really practical for my band-rehearsals! I either use it as a 'boost' or use the channel with 'less' gain for a more crunchy sound. Either way, you can use it for different situations. So overall, not only are the features of the Deluxe version great, it sounds fan-tas-tic!

I was blown away when this overdrive pedal arrived. not only is the artwork stunning but the sound is immense. sounds so mean and thick in the right settings. great respons on the dials too! this is after all the closest you can get to the friedman sound with 300 euros.

built quality is solid too. it's nice and sturdy
