I believe they sound great

But unfortunately wouldn't know. As I have smaller tuning pegs, I wasn't able to put this on my 28.5" scale.

How so?

Well, the string is long, and the tapered part is too short, which means I can get it through the tuning peg but not all the way through.

I thought this wouldn't be a problem because I used Earnie ball .80s until now, but 80s are way shorter and the tapered part is longer so they fit perfectly. So, yeah, it's absurd - I can fit 80 but not 74.

I'll have to drill a wider hole on my tuning peg apparently to avoid this problem in the future.

I just wished the length of the string and of the tapered part were under specifications. Could've avoided this problem before buying 2 sets.

Fits the gap for my low tuning needs

It is sometimes quite a challenge finding a set of strings that meets all of the requirements. In my case I am using 7 string guitars, baritone and or fanned fret designs and different low tunings (around E and F).

This is where the .74 gauge come in handy and is fitting in nicely with an existing 6 string set. With that custom set I enjoy playing my drop F 7 string baritone, it has just the right tension.

Sehr guter Klang und Verarbeitung

Machen genau das, was sie sollen. Klingen, wie von Ernie Ball gewohnt, sehr gut und klar. Nutze sie als tiefe F# auf meinem Siebensaiter kombiniert mit einem Satz "Not Even Slinky" Saiten.

Kann allerdings für einige Stimmmechaniken (oder auch Sattel) zu dick sein. Musste bei der .74er bei meiner Gitarre (HB 7SB DLX) deswegen an einem Ende die Ummantelung etwas lösen, funktioniert aber einwandfrei und hat keinerlei Auswirkungen auf den Sound!

Parfait pour l'accordage standard en 8 cordes !

Après avoir longtemps tâtonné pour trouver le bon tirant, j'ai acheté cette corde pour une 8 cordes Harley Benton R-458MN WH Fanfret ayant un diapason de 692mm coté grave et c'est parfait ! De plus on retrouve bien le brillant propre à Ernie Ball que je trouve parfaitement adapté aux sons metal moderne.
