I like these flat cables by EBS. Good sound, no pickup of any hum, space-saving on the board and very compact if they need to be stored away.

I use it to operate MIDI connection between my controller and a CBA Mood and it's very low profile, less than a Squareplug. This is the best cable I found: very light, soldered and also affordable ( it's cheaper than buying the TRS connectors, cable and soldering it by yourself)
