I got this for my 11 yo who is grade 5 and in an orchestra. She is just sizing up to a 4/4 instrument. I decided to buy a bow at this price level until she is settled into the new violin and defer the jump up to the big money bows. Results are very good, i am not the player but she is getting good tone, spicatto, and weight suits her. I am glad i bought this bow, i think it is the right level of investment at this stage in her playing.

Responsive and lightweight. Bows are immensely personal things, but for me, this one is quite a winner. A great step up from most "starter" bows that come with beginner violins.
