J'aime énormément les médiators en celluloïd pour leur comportement sur la corde. La forme 351 est celle que je préfère. L'épaisseur me convient bien, les seuls en "medium heavy".

Sammelrezension Celluloids Dunlop vs Fender vs D‘Andrea

Ich benutze seit langer Zeit eigentlich Fender Medium Celluloids und habe in den letzten Jahren (wie andere auch) bemerkt, dass sie sich verändert haben. Internet-Folklore gibt’s genügend in den einschlägigen Foren: Die früheren Picks riechen nach Kampfer, die neuen nicht, die früheren sind glatt, die neueren matt/rauh, die früheren sind dicker als die neuen usw.
Ich wollte es also genauer wissen und habe gegeneinander antreten lassen:

Dunlop Medium
Fender Medium
D’Andrea Medium
D‘Andrea Medium-Heavy
D‘addario Medium (aus einem Variety Pack)

Tatsächlich sind ALLE Plektren vergleichbar und unterscheiden sich kaum: Sie sind alle matt und kommen mir zwar nicht dünner als früher vor, aber irgendwie biegsamer, nicht so steif (alte Fender und Dunlop Mediums als Vergleichspicks herangezogen). Grip daher etwas besser als früher, Anschlagsgefühl und -klackern aber für mich persönlich schlechter, weniger definiert. Das Muster ist übrigens auch anders als früher, irgendwie grober, aber das ist reine Optik. Und ja, manche riechen nach Kampfer, andere nicht, mit der restlichen Qualität steht das aber nicht im Zusammenhang.

Am schlechtesten schnitten die D‘Andrea Medium Picks ab: Die verbiegen sich dauerhaft schon nach den ersten Anschlägen. Medium-Heavy hier, wenn dann.

Zwischen Dunlop und Fender übrigens null Unterschied. Wie jemand anders hier schon geschrieben hat, ist da nur das Logo anders – und der Preis, denn Fender ist deutlich günstiger! D‘addario Mediums gibt‘s hier bei Thomann nur im Variety Pack, soweit ich gesehen hab, aber auch die sind Dunlop und Fender vergleichbar.

Für mich desillusionierend, weil eigentlich kein Pick richtig überzeugt. Ich bin jetzt bei Dunlop Delrin 500 Medium in rosa gelandet, denen fehlt zwar das Celluloid-typische „Klackern“, aber beim E-Gitarrenspiel höre das eh nur ich selber, über den Amp kommt das quasi nicht rüber, aber diese Picks fühlen sich m.E. ähnlich an wie die früheren Celluloids, und Delrin ist deutlich haltbarer. Hoffe, das hilft auch anderen weiter, die noch die alten Celluloids kennen.

La une des rares marques à proposer cette épaisseur, le juste mllieu entre medium et heavy. Super pour l'acoustique.
