I recently bought this bass, and overall I’m very happy with it.

First off, the bass arrived in perfect condition. I had seen some online reviews mentioning grounding issues, so I was paying close attention to that, but in my case the QC was spot on. No noise, no wiring problems, nothing to complain about.

The construction feels solid and well thought out. The finish is clean, there are no rough fret edges, and the paint job is flawless. Everything feels smooth and sturdy. The neck is especially comfortable, it plays effortlessly and feels great in the hands.

As for the pickups, they’re hotter than I expected, but that actually works in my favor given the genres I play. The P pickup sounds fantastic—nice and growly with plenty of punch. I really enjoy it soloed, and it also blends very well with the J pickup. The J pickup on its own isn’t amazing, but it’s not bad either, overall it captures the vibe.

If there’s a weaker point, it’s probably the preamp. The bass and mid controls are usable and make sense both when boosting and cutting. However, the treble control feels like it operates very high up in the frequency spectrum. I honestly can’t imagine a situation where boosting the treble would sound good or necessary. Most of the time, I’ll probably just leave that knob alone or I'll cut a bit. If I ever decide to mod this bass, the preamp will definitely be the first thing I upgrade.

The passive mode is decent, but I personally prefer the active sound on this bass.

Overall, it’s a solid instrument with great playability, strong pickups, and excellent build quality. Aside from the preamp’s treble voicing, I don’t have any real complaints.
