No problems or issues for over a year now and just love playing it. This is just silky. I did have a budget model before which played well but this has so much more quality. I am still experimenting with mouthpieces (DW 4FL to start then DW 4BFL to help with the higher range) and hope to try out something different maybe a A&S 6C in the future. Such a beautiful mellow tone.

Love this instrument. for a bit i thought i might have honestly overspent on such an instrument, being that i still play on a student trumpet, and have only been playing brass for 2 years, but this flugelhorn is all i could have asked for and more. My music teacher told me that instruments are one of the best things to invest in, as you’ll almost always truly get what you paid for, and i feel that especially applies to Yamaha, who truly blew me away with their craftsmanship and ability to create staggeringly beautiful instruments at an impeccable quality, along with some truly top tier accessories like the case that comes along with it which is also just wonderful, making this instrument more than worth its price. And also a huge thanks to Thomann, as their service is as usual, absolutely fantastic, leaving no room for complaints.
