Q
Good but flawed
QuietOwl 24.01.2026
Ordered after a numerous YT positive reviews and comparisons, tried to watch not only paid promotions (there are plenty, majority I would say) but smaller channels. Specs looked very promising, nice shape, interesting color.

THE BAD: After receiving I immediately noticed a spot on the plastic bounding of the body right on the side where you look at it while playing. 2cm in size along the bounding. It looks like it was chipped during production and filled with some sort of glue or something, so this spot is darker than the rest of the bounding and also I can feel it with a finger.

This is definitely a production mistake covered with quick fix and somehow approved by QC. So be aware of your particular unit, it's not flawless as most reviews say.

Also area of the neck where it curves and joins the body looks uneven, with irregular bumps that you can see on the matte surface.

Push/pull "focus" feature just adds mud to the sound, cuts the highs, didn't find it useful. You can achieve same result with tone pot.

THE GOOD: Guitar feels nice overall, good weight balance, body shape is comfortable, hardware is ok, stainless frets are smooth and even. Sound is subjective, but I liked it.

In addition I would say that Sonic Blue looks different from the product photos, there is no green tint, it's definitely blue. I suggest to look at as many videos and photos as possible for this particular color.

All in all, it's a good guitar, but feels a bit overengineered and with significant QC issue.
