The quality of this mouthpiece is solid, in fact I feel this is true for all Yamaha mouthpieces. For me it is very comfortable with a good sized rim.

It has a nice, light and expressive sound and is really responsive, so much so that I was surprised; it almost speaks. I must admit I originally bought it in order to make the high range easier, and to some extent it might have helped at the beginning, but I have relatively large lips and am used to larger mouthpieces, so all in all, with practise I can reach the same high notes or higher on the deeper, larger mouthpieces I usually use. The Yamaha has, of course, a different, more silvery, merrier tone than my usual pieces.

All in all, I feel this is a product of high qualiy.
In the right hands, it could be a really responsive, beautiful mouthpiece. I would recommend it.

Perfekte Ergänzung zum 11B4

Siehe Überschrift - Rand ist identisch, Kessel ein wenig flacher. Sehr schöner Sound, etwas schärfer, aber nicht schrill. Sehr durchsetzungsfähig im Bläsersatz, genau wie geplant. Yamaha-Qualität - mehr fürs Geld kriegt man nicht, behaupte ich mal.

Das Yamaha 11A4 ist ein sehr ausgewogenes Mundstück mit nicht all zu flachem Kessel, angenehm breitem Rand, der trotzdem guten Halt gibt und einer moderaten Backbore. Diese Eigenschaften machen das Mundstück zwar nicht zu einem reinrassigen "Screamer", aber man kann damit einen ganzen Abend lang seine gesamte Range abdecken, ohne dass nach drei Stunden die Lippen im Kessel anstehen und/oder alles unter g'' nach Gießkanne klingt.

Utilisé comme transition entre la 11B4 fournis de base avec les trompettes Yamaha pour aller vers Marcinkiewiz Ingram puis Bobby Shew. Si la 11B4 vous convient niveau confort et que vous jouez de la variété ce peut être un bon choix.
