My favorite sticks

Love Wincent, their 7A is a little bit thicker than regular 7A:s.

Amazing quality and the XL version is just right for me who usually holds a regular length stick at the very end.

With the XL's i can get the balance i like and still get a correct grip.

Good sound on the cymbals. Have one big defect: leaving red marks on the snare rim, because of the paint of the letters.

Elegant und gut ausbalanciert

Ich war langer überzeugte Spieler von schwereren, dickeren Stöcken, meistens 2B. Wenn es zu filigranerem oder schnellerem Spiel kam, schienen mir das jedoch nicht ganz so gut von der Hand zu gehen. Also entschloss ich mich dazu, einmal dünnere Stöcke auszuprobieren. Und siehe da: Mit den dünnsten verfügbaren Sticks komme ich am besten zurecht.
Dann schlug mir mein Schlagzeuglehrer vor, doch einmal etwas längere Stöcke zu versuchen. Diese Wincent 7AXL sind für mich -- zumindest im Moment -- die besten Sticks, die ich je gespielt habe. Alle Schläge, Grooves, Fills und Rudiments gehen mir damit viel leichter von der Hand. Ich habe auch noch einige etwas längere ausprobiert, die WIncent 5AXXL und die Vic Firth American Concept Freestyle 7A und 5A. Die schienen mir jedoch ein wenig zu lang.
Eine generelle Empfehlung ist natürlich trotzdem schwierig, da jeder andere Vorlieben in Sachen Sticks hat und natürlich auch jeder andere Hände und Finger hat. Ich kann aber allen, die sonst nie 7A spielen, vorschlagen, diese Stickgröße einmal auszuprobieren. Und falls nicht, dann zumindest Wincent als Hersteller empfehlen, da alle Sticks, die ich von den Schweden probiert habe, sehr gut ausbalanciert waren.
