Violectric HPA V324

My main musical preferences run through folk, rock, jazz and classical. When listening, I am most interested in clarity, good resolution, and realistic instrument timbre. In choosing equipment I like to have the ability to use a good selection of dynamic and planar headphones (ZMF, Grado and Sennheiser) and to get a strong performance from each of them.

I have found that the Violectric V324 meets all of my headphone needs. Using the PRE-GAIN adjustment knob on the front panel of the unit is a quick and straightforward way to ensure each of my headphones delivers accurate volume control across a broad sweep of the control knob (and programming a remote control to manage volume was straightforward). The ability to use balanced (4.4mm and XLR) and unbalanced (6.3mm) headphone outputs is a welcome feature, and means all of my headphone sets work well with it.

The sound produced is clear, natural and realistic, with very good instrument separation and wonderful vocals. It is musical and powerful, and has a good soundstage. And the amplifier produces no inherent noise at all, which for me is a critical feature.

The V324 is pleasingly solid and extremely well built. It is a pleasure to use. It has a small size that fits well on any desk or rack. At this cost I believe the V324 is very good value for money, and an easy recommendation.

Commandé en même temps qu'un Prelude afin de comparer les 2 et c'est le Violectric que j'ai retenu.
2 philosophies opposées :
- Le Prelude chaud et cosy, ambiance asses intime d'un club de jazz ;
- Le v324 est beaucoup plus clair, naturel (à mon goût) et ouvert, la scène est décuplée comparé à son opposant, c'est plus ambiance concert dans une grande salle de spectacle.

Comparé au Prelude (15w), il manque juste un peu plus de puissance au v324 (4.4w sous 32 ohms) pour alimenter mon HE-1000 Stealth, par moment quand la musique chuchote j'aime bien pousser le potentiomètre afin de découvrir les petits détails cachés de la salle.
Ceci dit, en écoute normale un 12h est largement suffisant!

Pour conclure, le Violectric v324 est mon premier véritable ampli audiophile et j'en suis totalement ravi.

Mention particulière au sérieux et à l'efficacité germanique de Thomann :
commande passée juste avant midi, colis remis au transporteur en fin de journée, reçu un ou deux jours plus tard (contrairement au concurrent français....) ; bravo et merci à vous.
