This mouthpiece is excellent for recording and practicing. No so much projection though which is unfortunate for such a beautifully well crafted piece.

Was Vandoren zu diesen Preis an Mundstück bietet finde ich fantastisch!

Die Verarbeitung ist mit denen der ganz teuren Marken meiner Meinung nach vergleichbar (und ich hatte Sie alle schon gehabt ;) ). Die Kammer, Side- und Tiprails und das Gold-Finish sind wirklich sehr schön gearbeitet.
Die Ansprache ist leicht.
Ich finde es schwer den Sound zu bewerten, da dieser ja von den eigenen Vorstellungen abhängt. Das Soundkonzept des V16 Medium orientiert sich an den alten Otto Links, also eher rund ("spread" wie es im englisch oft betitelt wird) und ausgeglichen. Dafür nicht so viel Laserstrahl-Projektion wie eine Guardala oder TW Durga. Für die meisten Situationen wird diese aber ausreichen (hier kann auch viel mit Blättern und Blattstärken gemacht werden!).

Fazit:
Das Vandoren V16 liegt im Preisrahmen der Otto Links STM, welche bekanntermaßen eine (nennen wir es diplomatisch) hohe Fertigungstoleranz haben. Außerdem klingt das V16 nicht so stumpf wie die meisten modernen Otto Links STM.
Wer auf der Suche nach einem Otto Link Sound ist, sollte aus meiner Sicht daher lieber zum V16 Medium als zum modernen "Original" greifen. Ein passende Blattschraube muss allerdings mitbestellt werden, es liegt keine bei.

Mein "persönliches" Fazit:
Für mich hätte es tatsächlich noch ein klein bisschen mehr Projektion haben können, da ich in einer eher lauteren Band spiele. Ein Modell zwischen dem V16 Medium und Small wäre für meine jetzigen Soundvorstellungen perfekt..
