2025's best guitar product.
HomelessJazz 05.08.2025
This is the MVP of this year but no one seems aware of the potential of it yet.
Listen, either you don't have the budget for bigger units or you like cheap and good stuff. For both, you're in the correct spot.
Are you aware of this thing can play NAM profiles for 80 euros?
Do you know what it means?
It means you're not only getting a bluetooth pedal with amp models, you're buying the freakin player. The world is yours now, go crazy, go find every expensive unit's neural model and play it for free.
Get a 30€ wireless midi footswitch, the chococolate one and you have a 5 switch unit and the best part is, this pedal can be powered by the footswitch and if you throw a small powerbank to the chocolate footswitch, it can also power the valeton as well and voila...You have a wireless/powerless setup. Go further and buy the harley benton wireless guitar jack and a small expression pedal and for 200€ you have an endless options / wireless / power cord free / versatile as f. setup.

Bring meaning to your life
Bartleby The Scrivener 31.08.2025
OK, I hadn't paid much attention to this pedal because I'm a dinosaur who doesn't know what neural modelling or IR loading is. Then I saw the Glenn Fricker review and was impressed. So I scrounged together not so many dollars and bought it.

OMG girlfriend! Straight out of the box using only the Valeton app and the pre-loaded patches, and I have a complete guitar rig of amps, cabs and pedals. In fact many guitar rigs, I would even say I have a plethora of guitar rigs, if I knew what a plethora was.

If there is a problem with the GP5 it lies in the extremely small form factor. I've got to invest another fistful of dollars for a midi controller to expand the functionality of the unit. I think I want a FRFR amp to maximise the sonic properties of the pedal. Well, I've never had a problem spending money on guitars and accessories in the past so I'm certain I'll overcome those two slight issues.

My conclusion: if you haven't already bought this pedal your life is worthless. Your children will not respect you; your wife will have an affair; and your cat will defecate on your favourite shirt. Your community will shun you and no house of worship will offer you shelter. You must rehabilitate yourself before it is too late for your own sake, I'm begging you.

It's a no brainer, really
Lid Bass 20.09.2025
I'm a singer/rhythm guitarist in a punk band, so to be honest this pedal is overkill for my needs, but I had a bit of spare money and wanted to see if this lives up to the hype. It does.

Positives: So many sounds in one tiny box, access to any number of amps, cabs and pedals. Basic sounds are pretty good and with a little tweaking can be highly personalised. The case feels very solid - the pedal is heavier than you expect. The delays and reverbs are very nice.

Negatives: The writing on the screen is a little difficult to see. The app, while intuitive, is not terribly easy to use (the sliders go all over the place) and I've had some problems with Bluetooth connection to my iPad, although not to my iPhone. Also, I really bought this pedal to add effects like chorus, reverb and delay - I already have the overdrive sounds I want from my Blues Driver - but I find the chorus on here to be a little weak and one dimensional. And of course, you only have the one switch, although that isn't actually a problem for me as I'm only going to be using two or three patches and can cycle between them.

That said, I've already set up a simple Marshall JCM800 patch and another one which emulates a Vox AC30, and both sound very, very good. Just for that, this pedal is worth the money. It won't be replacing my BD-2, but it is already sitting next to it on my pedalboard and I can't see it coming off for a long time.

Amazing sounds and functions with awesome price!

A compact, budget-friendly multi-effects unit that offers impressive versatility for its price. Irs, Nam integration, effects, a drum machine and a tuner... No need to debate it.

A lot of sound in a small pedal
Ernie K 30.08.2025
I have an old Peavey Special 112 from the 90's and some pedals. They sound great together... And now there is Valeton. There's no need for any other pedal, It has everything and it's just 1 pedal.
Guitar --> GP-5 --> FX loop Return.
An android or an ios device is required to tune your sound settings and presets. Can not be done with the windows app as far as I know.
Only downside of the GP-5 is having a single footswitch button. The M-Vave midi controller has 4 buttons and does work with the GP-5.

Valeton GP-5 guitar fx's pedal
rastapoupajami 20.08.2025
Didn't know what to think when I read about this pedal, so cheap, but yet so much technology packed in a very small pedal.
After receiving my GP-5, I took it at rehearsel one day, sounded great right out of the box, many very usefull sounds are already programmed, did some tweaking after the rehearsel to make the sound a bit my own, now it's always in my roadcase as a possible backup, if something would go wrong with my main live rig, but I also use it for small practice sessions and at band rehearsels, sounds really great, a for that price It just can't be beat, I like it big time...

Breathtaking

I'm a Line 6 HX stomp person, I practically live out of the darned thing. I bought the gp5 as an emergency backup in case I'm on tour and my 8 year old Stomp craps out. SO good in terms of sound and ease of use that it's gonna replace my Stomp for a bunch of stuff -rehearsals, jams, solo gigs. NAM files and IRs load with zero effort from my phone (NOT my desktop, like the Stomp), and even the built in amps are perfectly useful. Only a couple efx are duds, most are great. BUY THIS LIL THING

Valeton GP-5

Probably one of the best things that happened to the guitar world for a long time. When I plugged it in and tried the first riff direct to the PA, I couldn't beilive how it sounds.
Only waiting for PC/MAC editor, because now you can use it only to transfer the files. Hopefully they will release it soon, until than, the mobile app is great.
Awesome job Valeton!
Will use it with Chocolate Bar :)

Amazing little multi efx pedal for small price
guzzi101 06.12.2025
Works incredibly well for what it does with a very small form. Very cheap, very small and strong metal case. The phone application that goes with it allows a lot of control, but it's a little bit difficult to manage with just the two buttons. That is not a problem for me as you can prepare sounds and then just switch through them same with the pedal. There's a lot of customizability. You can load NAM files and more.

Cons:
Some of the effects arent great, particularly the distortion sounds. Maybe they just need tweaking as there's a lot of options. I've made some custom clean sounds which I'm really pleased with how they are.
- some effects dont work that well, particularly pitch effects. Octaver works, but there's one effect where there's multiple pitches and it doesn't really work properly in tune.

There's lots of online reviews worth checking with videos.
