Somebody has to say it
I’ve tried to give it a chance…
BUT;
1. When you use instrument in, you cannot use analog 1 input at the same time which is just ridicuolous to me. So, basically, you have just 2 inputs available at the time.
2. It gets hot… and i mean really really hot
3. Preamps are not that special at all
4. You have to buy thunderbolt cable for another €60+
5. It is not bus powered, and for a desktop interface thats a minus for me
6. It is overpriced
7. Routing is just limited compared to RME
8. DSP for zero latency monitoring is no longer needed with the computing power we have available today
Verdict
Good for a starter if you have extra money to spend and want a beautiful interface to sit on your desk, but i would highly recommend to go for a RME Babyface Pro FS instead.
