Great Combo with IP15B - IP12B
I bought these out of the blue to go with my IP15B's...
I paired two ip82's with two ip15b's and also ip12B's: I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. I thought that this setup would be underpowered on the mid/highs, but this was not the case. Most sets are presented as a 2.1 ( 2 tops + 1sub ), but this combo was just fine: well balanced sound ( crossover set at 80hz ip15b / 100Hz ip12b - mid and highs at 0db - subs +2db) and enough power and clear sound for 100-150 persons - outdoor even more...Easy setup - Bluetooth set on the subs/paired with tablet-smartphone or any other BT capable device/connect master-slave and ready for a fast outdoor setup...
As stand-alone there's not much to say. Don't use these as main speakers, because then the sound is underpowered and a lack of bass is obvious: these are ment to be paired with a 12 or 15" sub.
Good looking, robust, easy to carry and handle, but I prefer the previous coating on a lot of Turbosound products: this looked cleaner. Now ( since 2018 I think ) the weakened coating has a 'hammered' pattern: see the differences on the ip2000 v1 and v2 ( hammered) ).
I put these 8" in the QSC K8.2 tote bag: it's a perfect fit.
I also bought the in house brand The Box CL108 as a comparative speaker and they really come close: Turbosound is a little more 'pristine' then 'the Box'. Outputwise (Spl ) almost identical.
Pricing on The box: Top / almost 1/2 price Turbosound
Pricing on Turbosound: also Top, but compared to The Box a little too expensive.

I use this to make the neighbourhood angry. Sounds good, is loud and clear. Structured paint is really thin and there are no rubber feet.
But these are be nice to have benefits which would make the box more expensive. When using indoor on a speaker pole everything is perfect. When using outdoors on a flat surface: Go buy rubber feet and pour some warnex over these guys .
Best box for the bucks!
