Habe meine Toontrack-Sammlung um die SDX Custom & Vintage-Expansion erweitert, weil die Sounds des Audio-Demos auf mich einen nicht zu aufdringlichen Eindruck machten und ich Drumklänge der 60-er Jahre suchte. Nach meiner Ansicht werden sie dem Anspruch, insoweit gewissermaßen "alltagstauglich" zu sein, gerecht. Verglichen mit anderen SD3-expansions fehlt es dem C&V, welches mit nur wenigen Presets aufwartet, allerdings an Vielfalt. Zudem wirken die Klänge der einzelnen Drums und Räume nach meinem Eindruck nicht sonderlich nuanciert. Mehr Inspiration finde ich für meinen Sound-Geschmack in den "Hansa-Studios" oder den Sounds der "Legacy of Rock". Ohne das Produkt abwerten zu wollen, verbleibt für mich - im Vergleich zu diversen weiteren SD3-Expansions - nur ein gemäßigt guter Gesamteindruck. Bekanntlich ist der Feind des Guten stets das Bessere!
