Incredible neck and good hardware. GET IT!!

Bought as my second (and first 'proper') bass and I'm glad I did. The feeling of the neck and the balance of the body are the most important things to me in an instrument, and it hit both right on the nail. The neck feels weird at first but after a few hours it becomes super comfy since the asymmetrical neck carve just 'fits' with how my thumb is placed along different parts of the neck. There is no neck dive to speak of, and despite being quite heavy it's never been burdensome to play.

Sound wise it is okay in versatility. The neck and bridge blend didn't make a huge difference but the bridge was 'honk' and neck was 'growl' and I generally have more neck than bridge. The eq knobs are smooth and have a middle detent, whilst the blend and volume don't. The battery compartment is revealed from unscrewing the backplate, which is quite inconvenient when it dies mid gig (happened to me!) but they last super long.

Hardware is sensational: the radiused pickup lets me use the pickup high like a ramp in order to rake across strings, and is super comfortable for me. Slapping against the neck (i.e. high frets) is fine, but lower down the neck you may hit the pickup. Picking is also a little tricky since the bridge pickup gets somewhat in the way, but that can be adjusted.

Notes about the initial setup: The preamp out of the box is STUPENDOUSLY hot, to the point of overwhelming amps and PA systems (at shows with multiple bassists sharing an amp, so on-the-fly adjustments were difficult) so make sure to decrease the overall gain using a screwdriver. The neck plate is on there TIGHT as well, and I needed to take the neck off in order to actually reach the trussrod by breaking the air seal. Afterwards I have the lower screw loose on the plate in order to get into it quicker. Stock strings are good, and the machine heads feel excellent. No complaints about the nut or pickup height.

overall: fantastic bass, super ergonomic, stylish and versatile. Would recommend for any genre.
